Sars Wars: Bangkok Zombie Crisis Review
Watching Sars Wars is like watching a child performing a new task for the first time: You're not sure what the child is trying to do, if they are doing it right, and the result is usually funny. This movie is an attempt of the 'stupid' humor category, with zombies. Kind of like a bad version of 'The Naked Gun' meets an even worse version of 'Dawn of the Dead', but somehow this movie get away with it.The reason this film is able to be what it is, and get away with it, is that it doesnt try to take itself seriously what so ever. Anything goes, and we do mean anything. Events of the plot make no difference, as new loopholes and sidenotes are added, completely on a whim. At least films like 'The Naked Gun' and 'Hot Shots' try to make themselves make sense as a whole. English subtitles don't help the comedy, either.
This movie would be great as a film to watch with a group of friends late at night. There is a decent amount of gore, but this author is SERIOUSLY doubting that anyone will be scared by it, aside from small children. This movie is great to laugh at, and will provide hours laughing via 'in-jokes' and quotes amongst you and your friends. Definately get this movie if you're looking for one of those bad movies a group of friends can laugh at.
Overall Score: 2/5 Stars
Best Zombie Kill: A group of undead get cut into ity-bity pieces by a lightsaber type sword.
